Organisation
- Players line up in groups of three or four.
- One ball per group
- 1st player has the ball and only one player in each group runs at a time.
- Distances are marked by cones
- All player’s do two runs of each exercise each.
- Players run up in turn doing the following exercises.

Exercises
- Run with ball in hands to 10 yard line and back, hand ball to next in line.
- Now run to 20 yard line. Bounce the ball three times there are three times back.
- Now to the 30 yard line, throw the ball up and header it three times there and three back.
- Keep ball up. Keep it up once to the 10 yard line, twice to the 20 yard line and three times to the 30 yard line. Once you have kept the ball up the required number of times you can run with the ball into the next area e.g. to the 10-20 yards line.
- The impossible! Keep the ball up as above but once you throw the ball up you can’t touch it with your hands again. That means six touches in 30 yards.
Races
- With ball in hand. First player runs to the 10 yard line and leaves the ball on the line. He runs back and tags the second player who runs up to the 10 yard line and picks the ball up before returning it to player three. Player three as player one and so on.
- Running with the ball. Same as above but this time you run with the ball. Last player must have his foot on the ball to finish.
- Log ride. Players lay on their backs facing the cones sideways with no gaps between them. Player one crawls over them and makes another log, when player 1 lies down then player two can go. Players should keep their knees down. First past the 20 yard line wins.
