Pass and Go

Organisation

Divide the players into groups of four players. One player stands on each cone. Cones are approximately 10-15 yards apart. One Ball between 4.

 

Do the following Exercises

  1. Pass and follow your ball. Pass clockwise around the grid. Keep it moving around the Cones. Don't be sloppy nice and firm passes.
  2. Two touches only. Control right foot and pass with left foot. Pass and follow.
  3. Two touches in anti clockwise direction. Control left foot and pass right foot. Pass and follow.
  4. Outside of left foot control. Clockwise. Control with outside of left foot and pass back with the outside of the right foot. Pass and follow.
  5. Outside of right foot control. Anti clockwise. Pass with outside of left foot. Pass and follow.
  6. Pass and go left foot. Control right foot and pass with left.
    Player 1 rolls the Ball short for player 3 and moves up to receive 3's pass back. Player 3 passes back to 1 and then runs around his cone to receives player 4's lay off. Player 1 passes diagonally to 4. Player 4 passes short to player 3. Player 3 passes diagonally to player 2. Player 4 runs around his cone to receive player 2's layoff etc.

  7. Pass and go right foot. Control left foot pass with right. Same movement as above
  8. Passing to chest or head. Same movement
  9. Pass and follow with 6 players.
    First run is straight the second is diagonal. Continue up and down the grids like shown. Remember, be ready to receive, good 1st touch and give them the ball like you would want to receive it, to your favoured or safe foot. After you pass the ball, your first 3 yards are a sharp run then relax.

  10. Playing short Ball. Now play the Ball short so he has to come and get it. Two touches, go and meet it.
  11. Throw a dummy. Now drop your shoulders when you receive the ball. Throw a dummy then play the ball .
