Goalkeeping: Power Exercises

Practises

1. Box Jumps. Stand on box jump to the ground and jump up again.

2. Hurdles. Place hurdles close together so the Keeper has to bounce over them with a variety of different take offs

  • Bunny hops
  • Left leg hops
  • Right leg hops
  • Backward hops

3. Press Ups. There are several different Press Ups you can do

  • Ordinary
  • On the Knuckles
  • On the Fingers
  • With a both hands on a ball each
  • With both hands on one ball
  • Press up and then clap.
  • Someone holding your legs down.
  • Some one on top of you.
